You hear Gavin start the preamble for your match and hit your last bit of warm-ups. A few push-ups, tuck jumps, and shoulder rolls later you start your checklist.

Boots Tied? Check.
Wrist gauntlets? On and tied, check.
Kick Pads? Tied and tucked, check.
Water Bottle? Check.
Belt? Belt? Belt! Oh yeah. That last moment before you step through the curtain, a great big pit of emptiness as you're reminded of your loss.

It's been 3 months since I've lost my place. Three months of questioning and self-doubt. What did I do wrong? Did I push too hard? Not enough? Did I let my emotions get in the way, or was it pride? What's next? Go again? Of course.

Can I do it again? Is it worth the heartache? YES! Are you sure? It's been three months and I can't figure it out. I can't figure it out!

And now? Now I'm just that guy on the roster. Just another face in the crowd. I'll still be out there trying. Because that's who I am, at least. But I have no belt. No title. The Grand Championship....lost. I recently chalked up a loss to that powder puff Kevin Condron at "Sword of Destiny" because I couldn't get my head in the game. Or maybe I've lost a step? I'm tired. I'm frustrated. But I'm still here. For now.

This weekend could be a huge weekend in Bakabella-land. Chicago & Indianapolis are two of my favorite towns, and they’re towns that have been very good to my wallet over the years. My Devastation Corporation are the most dominant team in any territory. I have Fritz, Watts, Jarrett, and Verne calling me every day trying to bring them in. The problem is Vince Jr. is eating up their business and they can’t afford my monsters. Luckily The Chikara Wrestling Alliance has the bankroll and the brains to bring them in. Now they have a SOLD OUT house in Chicago. You’re Welcome! I’m also excited to know that Jaka will finally get his hands on Ed Kingston. Kingston likes to pretend to be a tough guy, but when he locks up with Jaka, he’s another wannabe in the land of fighters.

My full attention is on Indianapolis. Indianapolis is Dick the Bruiser’s territory. Dick was kind enough to allow my future Chikara Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Champion Oleg The Usurper to stay at his place and train for his big match with Hallowicked. Oleg is what a champion should be. He’s 6’4, 270lbs. He’s agile, he’s tough, and he has my brain leading him.

The problem that I see is that Oleg is listening to that “CHIKARMY” more and more. This is a message to those “CHIKARMY” members that think Oleg should go into business for himself…MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. What Oleg and I do doesn’t affect you in the slightest. I’m the last honest man in professional wrestling. I’m doing what is right for Oleg, and my pocket. We have an ironclad contract that can’t be broken. I deserve to be the first manager in history to manage the Chikara Wrestling Alliance Tag Champions and Chikara Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Champion.

Three months ago, I wouldn’t want Oleg in this spot. I would’ve rather it be Flex or Jaka. But this new fire that I’ve ignited inside of Oleg is something like I’ve never seen before. Vince Jr. can put his marketing machine behind Oleg and sell foam fingers by the truckload. I have full confidence that Oleg will be World Champion. Hallowicked, thanks for the houses, kid. It’s time for Sidney Bakabella to lead the charge and put money in everyone’s pockets.

Oleg, you’re my guy! You’re the King! And soon, I’ll manage the Chikara World Champion and buy my big fat wife that waterbed she’s been hounding me about.

And you can take that to the Pay Window!

A common colloquialism to insult the male children of the human species: "You throw like a girl." This one is confused and consumed.

Heidi Lovelace has been traveling the world plying professional wrestling as one of the squared circle's best modern combatants. For most of 2015 Lovelace toured the nation of Japan following her defeat of Missile Assault Ant for CHIKARA's Young Lions Cup.

This one's first shot at glory as a Wrestle Factory rookie was thwarted by the very Ant that Heidi Lovelace toppled in the finals of the YLC tournament. This one watched patiently from a dark corner of the ECW Arena as Lovelace excelled where he had failed. Eyes across the globe have seen her accomplish the same steps this one lies awake at night envisioning oneself to follow.

If Heidi Lovelace "hits like a girl," woe to any man who challenges her carrying half-wit that he may doubt her force. This one sees clearly. This one sees Lovelace : the threat. Lovelace : the champion. Lovelace : presently, this one's better.

This one runs an extra mile today, studies one match more on CHIKARAtopia, adds to the offensive and defensive repertoire respectively at the Wrestle Factory. In 2015 this one has focus for the benefit of The Snake Pit. It is time to double this one's efforts to leap up rungs of the ladder rather than climb step by step.

Time is now short for opportunities waited on. This one is not only a gekkonidae-sapien, but a starving young lion feeding on the glory of the ring.

Eyes on the prize.
